    Dr. the Rt. Hon Keith Mitchell, Prime Minister of Grenada delivered the feature address of Venturepoint 2005. His discourse highlighted “Imperatives for change in small island states: the case for entrepreneurship”

  2. DFL Caribbean – Mr. Gerard Pemberton
    Mr. Pemberton, Managing Director of Development Finance Limited, spoke on the topic of “CSME: Savior or curse for entrepreneurs in the OECS”.

    His discourse served to address the following question: “The Caribbean Single Market and Economy is upon us. Can this model solve the problems of development, resource allocation, growth and transformation of Caribbean economies as we prepare to compete in the new world order?”

  3. UNECLAC – Mr. Erik Blommenstein
    Mr. Blommenstein, Co-ordinator – Environment and Technology of UNECLAC, spoke on the topic of “Disaster Recovery Programmes – Impact on Business Success in the Caribbean”.

    His discourse served to address the following question: “A look at the region’s preparedness to treat with disasters, natural or otherwise. What can we do to fast track the recovery process?”

  4. ECSE – Ms. Natalie John
    Ms. John, Manager of the Registry Issuer & Investor Services Division, of the Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange (ECSE), was part of the Panel Discussion, which addressed the topic “Caribbean financial institutions and legislation; Is a new vision and structure needed to address funding issues”.

  5. CFSC – Mrs. Lisa Harding Eversley
    Mrs. Eversley, Senior Project Analyst, of the Caribbean Financial Services Corporation (CFSC), was part of the Panel Discussion, which addressed the topic “ Caribbean financial institutions and legislation; Is a new vision and structure needed to address funding issues”.

  6. CARIRI – Mr. Liaquat Ali-Shah
    Mr. Ali-Shah, Chief Executive Officer of CARIRI, spoke on the topic “Innovation and R&D in the Caribbean; A model for our economy in the 21 st century”.

    This topic addressed the following question: “Can we survive on traditional business activities and on the use of traditional business models for development?”

  7. CARICOM – Dr. Gem Fletcher
    Dr. Fletcher, Programme Manager, CARICOM Secretariat, spoke on the topic “What Next; The Way Forward”.

    This topic addressed the following questions: “Where do we go from here? How do we in the region position ourselves to remain competitive and financially viable in the ever changing global environment?”
